Newsboys Debut Music Video for 'We Believe' With Footage from 'A.D. The Bible Continues'

A brand new music video for the upcoming television series "A.D." featuring the Grammy-nominated Newsboys debuted online on Friday.

The popular Christian group offers a rendition of the song "We Believe" in the trailer, which reveals never-before-seen footage from producers Roma Downy and Mark Burnett's, "A.D. The Bible Continues."

"In this time of desperation, when all we know is doubt and fear, there is only one foundation we believe," Newsboys' lead vocalist Michael Tait sings in the clip before the chorus: "We believe in God the Father, we believe in Jesus Christ, we believe in the Holy Spirit and he's given us new life. We believe in the crucifixion, we believe that he conquered death, we believe in the resurrection and he's coming back again. We believe."

The follow-up to the "Bible" series, "A.D." chronicles the rise of the Christian church by taking a closer look at the first ten chapters of the Book of Acts. The new series reveals the aftermath of Christ's death and its impact on his disciples and his mother, Mary along with key political and religious leaders of the time, all of whom are visible in the new trailer.

"So let our faith be more than anthems, greater than the songs we sing, and in our weakness and temptations we believe, we believe, we believe," Newsboys sing in the "A.D." sneak peek.

"A.D." stars Argentinean actor Juan Pablo di Pace who portrays Jesus, while the roles of iconic Bible characters such as Mary Magdalene, John, James, and Simon the Zealot went to actors from all over the world. The series premieres on NBC on Easter Sunday, April 5, 2015.

The Newsboys are comprised of Michael Tait, bassist Jeff Frankenstein, guitarist Jody Davis, and drummer/percussionist Duncan Phillips. The Australian-based group have released 16 albums, six of which have gone gold. Moreover, the Newsboys are four-time Grammy Award nominees and five-time GMA Dove Award winners
